After 15 years’ in the industry, it’s important to stay inspired. If you don’t keep challenging yourself and developing your skills, how can you hope to offer your clients the level of service they deserve? Complacency has no place here!
As a freelance business owner, you can sometimes feel a little marooned and out-of-touch with other like-minded individuals. Without other team members around to exchange ideas with, it can be tricky to keep inspiration flowing.
So, I booked myself onto The Flourish Workshop in the hope it would spark some new ideas, kindle my inspiration and leave me feeling fulfilled and fired up to try some new approaches. Happily, it was everything I’d hoped it would be and more!
The course was rich in useful content: I learned some great new business skills, and, most importantly, I discovered how to streamline my business for a better customer focus whilst optimising time with family. The added bonus of the two-day workshop was that I got to spend time with a wonderful group of skilled, like-minded photographers and photograph this stunning styled shoot, too!
As you can see, the theme of the shoot was moody and atmospheric. It used trendy jewel colours, rustic textures and silks to contrast with the velvet and lace. This combination created a truly sumptuous and opulent effect.
The weather didn’t let us down either, with both the bride and groom embracing the showers and sudden deluges with true British spirit! The rain lent itself perfectly to the overall atmosphere, especially alongside the romantic dripping candles and filament bulbs.
