Upwaltham Barns Wedding Photography
A cosy Novmber wedding by Chichester Wedding photographer at Upwaltham Barns wedding venue
This was such an incredible day, the girls all got ready at Q salon in Chichester for hair and makeup then headed off to settle in at Jasmine cottage at Upwaltham Barns for their finishing touches and Father of the bride reveal. I loved capturing the precious moments when Natasha’s Dad saw her for the first time. The East barn looked simply stunning all set up for their ceremony with wonderful florals by Ashton of The Flower Hut Florist. I loved the mirrored signs they created to reflect the beauty of the venue which also included Ashton’s floral arrangements. She created stunning decor for the whole of the reception, plus bouquets and button holes – including a beautiful collar for their gorgeous fur baby Toby – he looked so proud to be part of it all. All the boys looked fab in their suits from Astares Menswear.
The South Barn looked incredible with the natural greenery Ashton created for the candelabras and the simple and elegant white chair drapes. The atmosphere was so cosy with all the twinkly lights too. They had a photoshoot before they sat down to eat and we roamed though the courtyard garden – there was still so much greenery and beautiful winter berries – perfect for an autumnal / winter wedding. Then out the front of the barn, the borders were still packed with colour with layers of sunny perennials – (I don’t know how they do it!) We made it just in time before a huge downpoar just as they ducked inside for their wedding breakfast.
After the food and speeches – the rain had finished and the sun was peeping though again so we popped out again for another quick photo session to catch the last of the light. We found so many backdrops from the urban shutters on the barn, beautiful foliage provided by the many trees, and a stunning winter sunset in the fields. Then it was back for cake, cocktails and (a new one for me – ) beer pong! Brilliant fun – then the dance floor beckoned and their guests let loose between warming themselves by the fire pit. The perfect finish to a wonderful winter wedding day in the perfect setting.
“One of the best decisions we made for our wedding in October 2024 was to book Lucy as our photographer. As people that aren‘t particularly comfortable infront of the camera Lucy’s candid style was perfect. Some of our favourite photos are of the wonderful moments Lucy captured when we didn’t even realise she was watching. On top of being fantastically talented, she was flexible, creative and just generally a lovely person to have capture and share our day. Thank you so much Lucy, we will cherish those photos for a lifetime”
