Summer Barn Wedding in Arundel, Chichester

Emily and Erik are one of the sweetest couples and I had the privilege of capturing them and their lovely bump, due later this year. If you’re worried about the weather ruining your wedding day then you need to see this. They had a completely mixed bag, gusty winds, torrential downpours, and glimmers of light when we dashed out for pictures. There was no way a bit of weather was going to stop them from having a brilliant day.

The pair of them have such a great outlook on life and this wove its self through the day and their guests, with raucous laughter and smiles everywhere you looked. The downpour during the confetti shots just made them laugh their heads off as they dashed back to the barn after greeting and thanking all their guests. The rain only made South Stoke Barn with all its twinkly lights, feel more cosy and atmospheric as everyone piled in to get out of the rain.

The little church at South Stoke where their ceremony was held is really atmospheric too, being so small and cosy with its low hanging candles.

This is one of my absolute favourite shots of them, dashing back to the barn after the ceremony when the heavens opened. It didn’t bother them one bit, they completely embraced it and loved every second.

It was a joy to work with these guys they’re just such chilled happy people. Despite the rain, their day was full of warmth, hugs, and laughter.
