Stylish Summer Wedding in Sussex

I always get on so well with relaxed and happy couples and Marta and Tom are exactly that. They’d booked an engagement session with me so we’d already had a great chance to meet and get to know each other. Like so many couples this year they’d been through the run of the Covid mill and this was their 4th attempt at having their wedding. I was so happy for them it all went to plan this time around.

Some of Marta’s family were able to make the journey from Poland despite the lingering pandemic effects forcing them to quarantine so it was really important to her that we capture lots of images of them.

My job is to capture your day as it unfolds, big events or tiny moments. Whether it’s helping your bridesmaid de-tangle her necklace or her helping your mum go over her speech one last time. Sadly, Marta’s Dad couldn’t be with them on their special day so her Mum took the helm and, not knowing much English, she wrote and memorized her speech for them. I can’t think of a more touching gift.

There were also some hilariously fun moments like when Marta and Tom broke out some spontaneous groovy moves during their portrait session. Later, in the evening Marta’s brother whisked her onto the dance floor and they showed off their incredible dancing skills. It was just an incredible day…
