Its not often I get to photograph the wedding of one of my oldest most special friends so this was a particularly special day for me! Liz and John got married on an autumnal day October, they had achieved a most impressive feat of completing all the preparations for their wedding in just 8 weeks! I think even the most organised of brides out there right now would be bowled over by this! Their Service was filled with heartfelt prayer, stories and readings by many of those they hold dear.
Liz, John and I then set off for Bosham Harbour for their portraits together before the party began at the Village Hall which they had absolutely transformed into a wonderland with, lanterns, puff balls and rows of twinkly lights. We all enjoyed a hearty dinner of fish and chips brought straight in from the van, what could be better on a cold day!
The evening celebrations kicked off with a beautiful song by Liz’s friend Lucy (not me by the way!) and dance performances by Liz’s nieces. Then the barn dance began wen country danced the night away, dosey-doe, strip the willow and even a special wind the bobbin up for the kids. Hilarity soon ensued as in true time honoured tradition that is Barn dancing, we all got in an inevitable muddle once or twice but as you will see in the images some super moves too and a fantastic time was had by all, congratulations you two!
